Dixon Resources Unlimited is pleased to welcome Peter MacDonald to the team as DIXON’s Director of Operations. With nearly 20 years in the mobility and transportation industry, his expertise in implementation, operations, contracting, project management, and technology was gained through working with numerous agencies across North America. Peter’s passion lies in helping clients implement and operate programs optimized for their specific communities.
Peter grew up in Seattle, WA and after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Washington State University, started his mobility career by managing parking operations in the downtown core. This included oversight of operations and valet teams, parking technology, permitting, site maintenance and client support working with Class A property managers, corporate transportation departments, restaurants, and marinas.
Realizing his specific interest in technology, his career expanded into full system municipal parking management, adding citations issuance and collection, payment processing, and technology implementation on to his resume. In future roles, Peter continued to gain expertise with a focus on mobility app and web-based technologies, large scale transaction processing, fare payment solutions, and hardware manufacturing and delivery. Working with agencies such as LADOT, Dallas, St Louis, IndyGo (Indianapolis), MBTA (Boston) and many more, he designed and implemented complex transportation projects bring together approved policy and client design with customized hardware and software technologies.
While his experience brings a wealth of knowledge to our clients, his commitment to his colleagues and the people he serves is what drives him. At DIXON, Peter will play a pivotal role in supporting both the team members and clients across all operational facets. His deep industry knowledge and commitment to optimizing programs tailored to specific communities underscore his dedication.
