DIXON is thrilled to announce that Emily Kwatinetz, Principal Planner at our firm, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Emerging Leader of the Year Award by the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI). This award recognizes exceptional professionals who have made significant contributions to the parking, transportation, and mobility industry early in their careers.
Emily’s journey with DIXON began as an intern, and her talent and dedication quickly set her apart. In 2023, she was promoted to Principal Planner, where she now leads our Planning and Data Teams. Emily has played a pivotal role in shaping key projects that drive innovation in municipal parking and transportation systems across the country. One of her most notable contributions is the development of the "Parking Action Plan," a comprehensive framework that has helped municipalities implement and refine paid parking strategies, enhancing both efficiency and community impact.
In addition to her remarkable professional accomplishments, Emily is a passionate advocate for the parking and mobility industry. She serves on the board of the Pacific Intermountain Parking & Transportation Association (PIPTA) and actively participates in several committees for IPMI. Emily is also a dedicated volunteer with Feet First, a nonprofit organization in Seattle focused on creating walkable communities. Through this work, she contributes to policy development aimed at improving pedestrian infrastructure and promoting more sustainable, accessible transportation options.
Emily’s recognition as an Emerging Leader is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her leadership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to improving parking and mobility systems. She will be formally recognized at the IPMI Awards & Recognition General Session during the Parking & Mobility Conference & Expo on Tuesday, June 11, at 9:00 a.m.
At DIXON, we are incredibly proud of Emily’s accomplishments and excited to see her continue to grow and shape the future of the parking and mobility industry. Her contributions reflect our core values of innovation, collaboration, and service, and we look forward to the continued success she will bring to our team and the communities we serve.
